The concept of digital sustainability describes the long-term oriented production and further development of digital knowledge goods and addresses the tragedy of the anti-allmende. Based on the concept of sustainability, which has so far been used predominantly in connection with ecological issues, the concept of digital sustainability describes, according to the definition of sustainable development in the Brundtland Report, the conscious use of resources in such a way that their creation and use today does not compromise the needs of future generations.
Agile software development refers to approaches in the software development process that are intended to increase transparency and the speed of change and lead to faster deployment of the developed system, thus minimizing risks and undesirable developments in the development process. To this end, an attempt is made to reduce the design phase to a minimum and to arrive at executable software as early as possible in the development process.
